Past, current and future work as trustee

Past

  • Initiated speed reduction on Tyndal Road, Sunset Beach Road and Coves End Lane

  • Actively engaged in and supported the new VNH Noise Code

  • Actively engaged in and supported the new VNH Shoreline Management Code

  • Initiated the re-vitalization of North Haven's Tick & Deer Management program.

  • Created the online sign up forms for VNH's Tick & Deer Management Program, resulting in an overwhelming participation in North Haven to combat ticks

  • Planning and installation of the AV equipment at village hall to allow hybrid meetings (Zoom) for the Board of Trustees, Planning Board, Architectural Review Board and Zoning Board. 

  • Planned installation of new speed limit signs on Short Beach Road and the installation of a speed radar sign for northbound traffic giving the village the ability to monitor the speeds in both directions

  • Speed Radars

    • Installation of 2 speed radars on Short Beach Road​

    • Installation of speed radars on 114 between the circle and bridge, and between the circle and ferry

    • Deployment of 1 mobile speed radar on village roads

    • Installation of 1 speed radar on Tyndall Road

  • In collaboration with Trustee Skillbred & Planning Board Chair Bryan Von Hagn, created VNH's light code

  • Researched and implemented a new cloud based accounting software (Accufund by Brisbane) for the village to replace an outdated, local solution 

  • Researched and planned the overhaul of the village office's IT system (Network, Workstations, Phone System and Laserfyche Archiv software)

Current & Future

  • Drafted Family Accessory Living Space (FALS) code 

  • Researched all aspects of Seaplane traffic around North Haven in consideration of a limited operation at East Hampton's airport (Village & town codes, FAA, Marine laws). Actively monitoring any development, constant communication with the Sag Harbor Harbor Master

  • Collaborating with Trustee Fiore on speed studies and speed reduction on Ferry Road, NYS 114

  • Actively engaged with the Southampton Town Police Department to enforce traffic violations

  • Simplifying VNH's code in consideration of maintaining the character and charm of Our Village while respecting the individual property owners rights, way of living and desire to live in an environment of their liking

  • Speed Radars

    • Installation of 2 speed radars on 114 near Village Hall

  • Analysis of the speed radar traffic data

  • Overhaul of the IT infrastructure in village hall and moving applications to cloud based systems

  • Maintaining VNH's deer and tick management programs

  • Participation in the East End Supervisor and Mayors Association

  • Participation in the East End Mayors Association

  • Participation in and member of the Suffolk County Tick Control Advisory Committee
